I think we can all agree that 2020 has not been the best of years. Covid-19 has really turned our world upside down and has really made us appreciate the freedoms that we had before the epidemic hit. I think we took for granted eating at restaurants and having a quick pint at the local pub. I for one has really missed jumping on a plane and traveling to new countries.

With all of this in mind, I am really looking forward to opening up my 2021 wild camping and backpack camping workshops. I cannot wait to take people across Dartmoor to explore this beautiful part of the country. My wild camping workshops are designed to take you completely back to nature. To relieve you from all of life stresses and to enjoy nature at its best. Wild camping on Dartmoor is a fantastic experience, and I cannot wait for you to join me.

What will you experience on the wild camping workshop?

Before we start your Dartmoor wild camping workshop and adventure, we will have a chat about what exactly it is you want to gain from the experience. Wild camping is such a great way to leave the stressing of every day life behind, but you also might have a specific idea in mind.
So let me build a bespoke wild camping experience around you and your needs. Dartmoor is full of fantastic locations, so there are loads of places we can look at together.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?

• Navigation - Basic navigation and map reading skill

• Locations - Where to pitch and where not to pitch your tent

• Packing - How to pack your backpack (although I will also go through this before the workshop)

• Camping etiquette - Leave no trace and overall camping etiquette

• Water filtration - The what’s and not about water filtration

• Food & Cooking - Perfect camping foods and how to cook in the field
