WILD CAMPING / BACKPACK CAMPING ADVENTURE BASIC ITINERARY

So what will your adventure look like? Well, let’s dive straight in.

We will meet at a prearranged location and have a bit of a meet and greet. It would be good to learn a bit more about what your expectations are, and what you’re looking to learn from your adventure. It could be that you simply want to spend a night under the stars, or that you want to feel more confident about putting your tent up, but I want to make sure you are getting everything you want out of the workshop.

Welcome to our wild camping workshop on Dartmoor!

My workshop will equip you with the essential skills needed to have a successful and enjoyable wild camping experience.

I'll start by teaching you the basics of navigation and map reading, so you can confidently find your way through the rugged and beautiful terrain of Dartmoor.

I'll also show you the best locations to pitch your tent, and perhaps more importantly, where not to pitch!

I'll help you pack your backpack like a pro, so you can carry all your gear with ease and comfort.

Camping etiquette is important to us, and I'll teach you how to leave no trace, so you can enjoy the pristine wilderness of Dartmoor without leaving a negative impact on the environment.

Water filtration is a must when camping, and I'll show you the whats and nots of water filtration, so you can stay hydrated without any unwanted surprises.

But what's camping without great food? I'll teach you the art of cooking in the field and share some delicious camping food ideas that will make your taste buds dance with joy.
